Vijay Television is launching a new family drama on January 29, called Kalyanamam Kalyanam. The show will air Monday through Friday at 9 PM. The show stars Sreethu Nair and Teja as two young people with very different views of marital relationships. This seems to be a good place to start a serious family drama. Where the show goes from there will be intriguing and, at this point, unknown.
Vijay TV has set this serial to begin next Monday with much fanfare, but without leaking too many plot details.
The show revolves around Kamali, played by the beautiful Streethu Nair. Kamali is a small-town girl with a wholesome outlook of the relationship between a husband and a wife. Her romantic interest Surya, played by Teja is a big city playboy type who sees marriage in a very different light. The show revolves around the varied emotions that these two main characters confront throughout the show.
Surya’sparents have been separated for twenty years, which has much to do with his somewhat cynical view of marriage. His grandfather, however, is very impressed with Kamali’s down-to-earth approach to things – especially her views on marriage. He would like to see his grandson settle down and marry Kamali. The show promises to take you on an emotional journey as it wends its way through the relationships of the main characters and their families.
Kalyanamam Kalyanam boasts a recognizable and popular actor in Sreethu Nair, known for 7c, and Teja in the lead roles. Also included in this series is the director, Moulee, who will be in front of the camera, playing an important role in this family drama. His role is best described as, “pivotal.” The show will be directed by Bramma.
